About Framing4Yourself.com
Framing4Yourself.com is dedicated to providing products, insights and advice to anyone who wants to picture frame. We are actively involved in helping our customers develop and refine prosperous framing businesses, whether those businesses be of the traditional storefront model or the offering framing as an adjunct to a related business activity or the work of homebased picture framers servicing friends and neighbors. We provide practical guidance and a complete range of products at or near wholesale cost.

We offer six on-line sections of products and services: The Picture Frames section, featuring a wide variety of picture frame moldings in length for you to cut and join yourself or in sectional frames, already cut to the size you specify and ready for you to join without tools, or finished, already-put-together frames; The Equipment and Supplies section, featuring items such as mat cutters, miter saws, joining equipment, hand tools, point drivers, glazing supplies, mounting tapes, adhesives, basically everything you need to frame for yourself. The Matboard and Foamboard section featuring a comprehensive range of matboard and foamboard and the best on-line color chart anywhere. The Books and Videos section and The Picture Framing Classes section where an updated list of upcoming hands-on Picture Framing Workshops awaits you. In addition, we offer free Tips and Techniques right here on the website to answer your questions and help you frame better.

Our Shipping Policies
- Basic Shipping Charges
In the Continental United States, all items are shipped via FedEx Ground or the United States Post Office. Our system employs a shipping interface and assigns actual charges based on weight and distance to your delivery location. Our warehouse is located in the Chicago area, so time in transit to the 48 contiguous United States is never more than 5 working days after the order has shipped out of our warehouse.
- Turnaround Time
We ship 80% of orders within 48 business hours. If an item is out of stock and will not be available within 3 days, we will take the liberty of shipping what we can and sending the remaining item(s) separately at no additional shipping charge when they become available. Most delayed items will ship within one week.
- Expedited Shipping
When placing your order you may select an expedited service. All expedited services (2nd Day Air, Overnight, etc. are via FedEx). Orders must be placed before 11am Central Standard Time for expedited shipment to occur the same day. Custom Frame sectionals are an exception to this as the are made especially for you. These will take at least 24 hours to ship via expedited shipping service.
- Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii
Items shipping to Alaska and Hawaii will cost more and customers will be notified of additional shipping charges via email before the order is processed. Only upon customer's approval of the shipping charges, will the order proceed.
- Customers outside the United States:
Our shopping cart is not optimized to assign foreign shipping charges. However, customers outside the USA can actually order and pay on-line by using a two step process. First, email us, expressing your intention to place an order and include your name, address and telephone number. Then go the website and place the order. When you get to the page where you put in your name and address, key in the zip code 60067. Then you can continue on and make payment and process the order. A different amount will be shown on the confirmation for shipping and handling since the system defaults to US shipping rates. Your actual shipping costs will be higher.
We will match up the order with the email you sent, notify you by email of the shipping and handling charges, and upon your approval, process and ship the order.

- Erase Your Shipping With the Push
of This Button (on selected items)
ERASE SHIPPING
ON THIS ITEM
When you push the Erase Shipping button on selected items the cost for shipping for that particular item will be subtracted from the overall total of your order. Your shopping cart will show the deduction as an amount in parenthesis (meaning a negative number) along with the words "This amount will erase the shipping". PLEASE NOTE: The shopping cart WILL show a Shipping and Handling charge. But the negative amount will subtract the shipping charge from the bottom line. Depending on how far the item is shipping you may still pay a dollar or two for shipping after the subtraction, or you may actually subtract an amount greater than the amount of the shipping, resulting in a bonus price reduction on the item you are purchasing. BE ADVISED: If you have other items on the order, the amount for shipping for those items will not be debited unless they, too, are eligible for free shipping. Only those items with ERASE SHIPPING buttons beside them are eligible for free shipping.
- Free
Shipping Offers and "You Will Not Be Charged..." Notices
Free Shipping may be available for certain specific items. However, because our shopping cart software will not allow us to switch off shipping for specific items, an amount for shipping and handling will appear on your order during checkout. Rest assured, however, we will not charge this amount to your credit card when Free Shipping is being offered. If you are ordering other items on your order that are not eligible for free shipping, you will be charged a shipping amount for those items, but not for those items eligible for free shipping.

Sitewide Shipping Offers
$5.95
Sitewide Shipping (when available) refers to a flat shipping charge of $5.95 for
any order, regardless of size or quantity of items ordered. It is good
only for the 48 contiguous United States and only for ground shipping.
Those who select 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air will pay more. Dry Mount
Presses, 100 feet of moulding or more are excluded. Those items that carry
Free Shipping or Erase Your Shipping offers will supersede $5.95 shipping so
that you can enjoy the lowest possible shipping charges where available.
Illinois State Sales Tax
If you are ordering from within the state of Illinois you will have to pay a nominal state sales of 9.75%. However, if you are in the Chicago area, you may elect to offset your sales tax by arranging to pick up your order at our facility in Arlington Heights, thereby eliminating shipping charges. You will still have to pay a $2 handling charge. But the savings in shipping costs should more than offset your sales tax. To arrange a pick up call us at 1-888-474-2372.
How to Find Your Shipping Charge Before Your Buy
If you would like to know what your shipping charge is before you buy, you can do so by following the shopping cart check out procedure until the shipping charge appears and then you can still back out if it's not to your liking. For example, let's say you want to purchase a Logan Intermediate Mat Cutter and 12 sheets of Arctic White matboard. Add the mat cutter to the shopping cart. At the first shopping cart screen confirm the quantity of one by clicking "Add to Cart" (note: the item is not in the cart until you confirm the quantity). Return to shopping, add Crescent Arctic White Matboard to the cart. At the first shopping cart screen change the quantity to 12 and click "Add to Cart". At the order summary screen you will see the total of all items without the shipping. Click the "Check Out" button. At the Destination screen enter your zip code and press continue. At the second order summary screen you will see the shipping and can decide whether you want to proceed. You have not committed to anything at this point and you will not be charged.
School and Institutional Orders
Schools and institutions may place purchase orders with us. Fax your purchase order, including tax exempt number, to 847-434-0445. You will be shipped and invoiced with Net 30 day terms. Questions? Call us at 1-888-474-2372.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates will arrive to you as a paper certificate with a control number. When ordering, the redeemer should provide the control number to the order desk and the appropriate amount will be subtracted from the order total. Instructions will come with the gift certificate. There is no shipping charge for the certificates themselves; although our shopping cart will automatically assign a shipping charge, this amount will not be charged to your credit card.
Back Orders
Occasionally we will experience a delay in shipping a particular item. When this happens, and when there are other items on the order, we will take the liberty of shipping those items that we can as soon as possible, and back ordering the delayed item(s). This will never result in an increase in your shipping and handling charges and you will be given notification of when you can expect the back ordered items to arrive.
Return Policies
Framing4Yourself.com guarantees that the products it sells are of the finest quality and free from defects. (Note: An exception exists with regard to minor, normal and foreseeable damage due to shipment on matboard and foamboard products - see the details below.) If a product is defective, it can be returned within 30 days and a new item will be sent to you.
Merchandise should not be returned without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
No refunds, credits or returns will be accepted or processed with out an RMA
number. To notify us of a return, email us or call us at 1-888-474-2372. Items that are returned because they were incorrectly ordered are subject to a 15% per item restocking fee. Such items must be returned within 30 days of order placement. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Refunds will appear as a credit on your billing statement.
Assumption of risk on matboard and foamboard shipments: Dings, dents and dog-ears are minor, normal and foreseeable circumstances in the shipment of matboard. You should anticipate this. Most customers trim full size sheets down to smaller sizes before use, and in doing so, trim away damaged edges. Framing4Yourself.com will not accept returns for minor damage to matboard or foamboard. If you feel that the damage is severe enough to warrant recompense you must make the claim directly and immediately with the carrier. Framing4Yourself.com takes every precaution to insure safe shipment of its matboard and foamboard products and enjoys a good track record in this regard.
Custom Sectional frames and Digital Canvas Transfers may not be returned for a
credit or refund. Each Custom Sectional frame and Digital Canvas Transfers
are made especially for you
at the size you request. We will replace any Custom Sectional Frame if we
have not cut the frame to the size that was requested.
Dry Mount presses are only returnable if the box has been unopened and unused. There is a 15% restocking fee for any dry mount press and can only be returned with an RMA number.
Workshops have very limited availability. In most cites we only accept an enrollment of 24 people. If a workshop ticket needs to be canceled, please phone our office prior to the workshop at 1-888-474-2372 and we will issue a credit in our system for a future workshop or order with Framing4yourself. However, we usually have a waiting list of students wanting to attend, if we are able to resell your ticket we will issue a refund to your credit card.
Payment Methods
We accept payments via Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We also accept checks and money orders sent via mail to our address at 541 W Golf Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Note: Sales taxes will be applied to all orders being shipped to an Illinois address.
Will We Sell Your Name? Heck No!
The practice of selling people's personal information is a method used by some retailers to hedge costs when they are aggressive with their pricing. We don't do it. We think it's dishonest and unfair, and besides, we don't like junk mail or telemarketers any more than you do. Beware of retailers who don't offer you their policy on this. Their silence is telling you something.
