In over 50% of the cases you’re going to see some overcut But when you step back and view the matted artwork at arm’s length, the overcuts are no longer visible.  A Burnishing Bone burnishes down the eruption along the edges of the incision and removes the stray threads that result when you overcut. Burnishing lightly in the direction of the window, you, in effect, heal the cut, making it less visible. It’s the framer’s secret for making overcuts disappear!
