| Cut the
sections of moulding you plan on joining and using a band clamp make
sure the corners and nice and even. Then pick one of the sections
of moulding and with a pen/pencil mark on the end where you would like
the v-nails to go. In mouldings like the one shown, you can insert more
than one v-nail on the same place to stack them and make a stronger
join. |
|
Place the
marked section of frame against the rail on the underpinner table. |
|
Align the
first mark with the small slot. That is where the v-nails are going to
go thru to enter the moulding. |
|
When you're
happy with the alignment slide the back stop against the center stop and
tighten the nob. |

| Now slide
the frame (and railing) back and align the second line with the slot. |
|
And then
slide the first stop against the center one and tighten it in place. |
|
Place the
second moulding section in place. |
|
The
distance between the moulding and the presser should be 30mm. |

| Now pull
the rail and moulding until they stop in place. And remember that you
are inserting 3 v-nails at this spot. |
|
Hold the
moulding so that the corners are touching and there is no gab between
them. Then with your foot push down on the pedal. You will be able to
hear the v-nail slide into the frame. Do that three times. The v-nails
will easily stack upon each other. |
|
Now slide
the the rail and moulding back until they stop in place and press on the
pedal. But this time only once since this is that thin section of the
moulding. |
|
Here is now
it is going to look in the back of the moulding. |

|
|
|
|
| Repeat the
process for the other 3 corners and your frame is now joined and ready. |
