Using the straight cutting side of the dual cutting head, insert the blade and pull toward you, trimming the sheet to size.
To bevel cut a window, slide the mat guide over the scale and set it for the borders of the mat's window and then tighten it in place.
Place the edge of the mat face down against the mat guide, lower the guide rail onto the mat and draw lines along the inside edge of the guide rail.
Bring the bevel cutting head into position and align the green dot on the outrigger just under top the pencil line.
Pivot the bevel blade holder down, penetrating the mat. Pull back to cut. The red arrow indicates the outrigger which travels along with the cutting head as it cuts.
Stop when the red dot on the outrigger aligns just below the bottom pencil line, and retract the blade.
To cut a window more rapidly, and without drawing pencil lines, install the guide rail stop on the guide rail scale and set it for the borders of the mat's window.
Slide the moveable stop onto the end of the moveable scale and set it for the borders of the mat's window. The moveable stop and scale move with the cutting head.
Bring the cutting head back until the flex bar portion of the moveable stop comes into contact with the top edge of the mat.
Pivot the bevel blade holder down, penetrating the mat, and pull back to cut.
The cutting head will stop automatically when it contacts the guide rail stop. Retract the blade.
Repeat for each side of the mat to rapidly and accurately cut a window in the mat.
